This villa is an elegant summer retreat located just off the tranquil village of Kolymvari, a 20 min drive from Chania. Sitting on a lush hill that affords uninterrupted views over the seascape, the 4 bedroom villa is immersed in nature. Olive groves, fruit trees, an organic vegetable garden and lush green lawns form the natural canvas on which the architect designed this retreat. The lines of the house are simple and clean and the materials refined but natural. A paved terrace wraps around the house creating space for the outdoor arrangements -a shaded dining area with a BBQ and outdoor kitchenette, a comfortable lounge with views to the seascape and two striking infinity-edge pools, one for adults and the other for children, that run for almost the entire facade of the house.

The transition to the interior is soothed out by the vast glass windows that open the living areas to the landscape and create the illusion of being outside even when indoors. The rooms, fitted with wood floorings and rustic beamed ceilings, are dressed in relaxing beige tones that bring focus to the nature framed by the windows. The décor is modern with refined rustic touches. The rooms are outfitted with low, bulky furniture and a few vintage pieces that are stylish as much as they comfortable and practical. The bedrooms are spacious, bright and impeccably designed to create an indulging atmosphere. Nature is the centre of attention here too; laying in bed, you are constantly in contact with the landscape thanks to the immense windows that pierce the walls. The villa includes a gym and a wine cellar; guests can also enjoy fresh fruit and vegetable from the villa’s organic garden.
